NoBSCraft is intended to be a relaxed, mature survival community. We try to keep the rules simple and rely heavily on common sense.
By playing on NoBSCraft or participating in our Discord and other community spaces, you agree to follow these rules. Staff may intervene in situations that are not explicitly covered below when someone’s behavior is clearly harmful to the server or its community.
Respect Other Players
Treat other players like people.
Disagreements are fine. Harassment is not.
Do not harass, threaten, bully, discriminate against, repeatedly target, impersonate, or intentionally provoke other players. Hate speech, slurs, threats, doxxing, and sharing another person’s private information are not allowed.
Casual swearing is permitted, but excessive spam, targeted insults, intentionally offensive behavior, and attempts to make public chat unpleasant for everyone else are not.
Do not spam, flood chat, excessively use capital letters, or deliberately disrupt conversations.
Keep usernames, skins, builds, signs, books, item names, and other public content reasonable.
Public chat should primarily be kept in English so that players and staff can understand what is being said.
Play Fair
Do not use hacked clients, X-ray modifications or resource packs, cheats, exploits, dupes, macros, auto-clickers, auto-fishers, or other automation that plays the game for you.
If you discover a bug, duplication method, unintended mechanic, or exploitable server behavior, report it instead of abusing it.
Knowingly abusing a serious exploit may result in a permanent ban.
Client-side quality-of-life and cosmetic modifications are generally fine as long as they do not provide an unfair gameplay advantage.
Examples of normally acceptable modifications include shaders, performance mods, HUD improvements, inventory or mouse tweaks, and minimaps without cave or entity-finding advantages.
Claims, Griefing, and Player Property
Respect player claims and property.
Do not grief, steal from, alter, or interfere with another player’s protected build without permission.
Do not attempt to bypass claims, trust settings, container protections, or other obvious protections through exploits or loopholes.
Do not deliberately build around another player’s claim simply to annoy, obstruct, trap, or harass them.
Unclaimed land is not automatically permission to target another player’s clearly established build. Use common sense and respect other players’ space.
Building and Server Performance
Normal farms, redstone, storage systems, and technical builds are welcome.
However, builds designed to intentionally create lag are not allowed.
Large farms and redstone systems should be built responsibly. Repeating machines and redstone clocks should have a way to be turned off when they are not being used.
Do not intentionally create excessive numbers of mobs, minecarts, projectiles, dropped items, or other entities.
If a build causes serious server-performance problems, staff may ask you to modify or disable it. In extreme cases, problematic entities or machines may be removed to protect server performance.
Do not create intentionally offensive or inappropriate public builds.
Resource Gathering
NoBSCraft has a dedicated Resource Zone intended for large-scale gathering and exploration.
Players are encouraged to use the Resource Zone when gathering large quantities of terrain resources rather than unnecessarily destroying areas of the main Build Zone.
The Resource Zone may be reset or regenerated as part of normal server maintenance, so permanent builds and valuable storage should remain in the Build Zone.
PvP and Teleporting
Do not use teleport requests or other server systems to trap, deceive, or intentionally kill another player.
Sending someone a teleport request implies that you are allowing them to arrive safely unless both players have clearly agreed otherwise.
Do not repeatedly spam teleport requests after another player has declined or blocked them.
Trading, Auctions, and Scamming
Trades and auctions should be conducted honestly.
Do not intentionally misrepresent an item, trick another player during a transaction, exploit a trading interface, or knowingly use bugs to steal items or currency.
Scamming players through misleading trades, auctions, payment requests, or similar transactions is not allowed.
Players are responsible for reviewing normal transaction details before confirming them, but deliberate deception is still against the rules.
Leaderboards, Records, and Competitive Titles
NoBSCraft tracks thousands of Minecraft statistics, records, and leaderboard positions.
Competition must be legitimate.
Do not use alternate accounts, automation, exploits, stat manipulation, coordinated boosting, or other artificial methods to increase leaderboard statistics or obtain competitive Titles.
Do not intentionally feed statistics to another player for the purpose of manipulating rankings or records.
If a statistic is earned through normal gameplay, cooperation between players is generally fine. Deliberately manufacturing leaderboard results is not.
Alternate Accounts
Alternate accounts may not be used to evade punishments, bypass restrictions, manipulate votes, bypass gameplay limits, or artificially influence leaderboards and records.
Players sharing the same household or network are not automatically considered alternate accounts.
If staff need to verify unusual account activity, we may contact the players involved.
Advertising and Real-Money Trading
Do not advertise unrelated Minecraft servers, services, products, or communities without staff permission.
Do not sell or trade NoBSCraft items, currency, accounts, services, or other in-game property for real-world money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, outside-game goods, or services.
Official purchases made through the NoBSCraft store are the only authorized real-money transactions associated with the server.
Resource Pack and Voice Chat
The NoBSCraft resource pack is optional. Players who decline it can continue playing normally.
Optional proximity voice chat is also available to supported Java players.
The same behavior rules that apply to text chat also apply to voice chat. Harassment, hate speech, threats, disruptive behavior, or other misconduct is not acceptable simply because it occurred over voice.
Staff and Enforcement
Staff members are expected to use reasonable judgment when enforcing these rules.
Not every possible form of harmful behavior can be listed individually. Attempting to exploit technical wording or find loopholes in the rules does not make disruptive behavior acceptable.
Depending on the situation, enforcement may include warnings, mutes, temporary restrictions, temporary bans, permanent bans, removal of items or builds obtained through abuse, or other reasonable action.
Punishment evasion through alternate accounts may result in additional accounts being punished.
If you believe a staff decision was made incorrectly, contact us through the appropriate support channel rather than arguing about moderation in public chat.
Final Rule
Use common sense.
Play fairly, respect other players and their time, and don’t intentionally make the server worse for everyone else.
